Police Seek Witnesses to U.S. 19 Crash

A driver lost control of his motorcycle and was hit by two vehicles early Monday morning. Police say one of the drivers hit the motorcyclist and never stopped.

A Palm Harbor woman was involved in a chain reaction accident on U.S. 19 Monday morning that sent a motorcyclist to the hospital with serious injuries.

It happened at 4:16 a.m. just north of Anderson Park in Tarpon Springs. Police say 51 year-old Charles Richard Lloyd of Dunedin was driving a 2007 Harley Davidson motorcycle northbound in the left lane when he lost control of the motorcycle.

Lloyd's motorcycle was then rear-ended by a white 1999 Chevrolet Camaro driven by Adriana Starr Ossa of Palm Harbor. The impact caused Lloyd to be ejected from his motorcycle. He was then struck by the Camaro and a second vehicle traveling northbound on U.S. 19. Tarpon Springs Police say the second vehicle that hit Lloyd continued on U.S. 19 and did not stop.
