PSTA Offering Info Meetings About New North Pinellas Bus Routes

PSTA will be hosting two informational meetings about the new North County Connector routes, which begin operating Dec. 10 and will offer free rides through Dec. 31.

PSTA will be hosting two informational meetings about the new North County Connector routes, which begin operating Dec. 10 and will offer free rides through Dec. 31.

The three new North County Connector routes will serve East Lake, Palm Harbor, Tarpon Springs, Oldsmar, Westchase, Countryside and Dunedin. This new bus system was designed for Pinellas County's suburbs and will use mini buses that can accommodate up to 14 seated passengers and up to two wheelchairs or scooters.

What makes the new bus system unique is you can board the buses at a stop along the route or call a reservation number two hours in advance to have a bus pick you up at a location within 3/4 of a mile of one of the North County Connector bus routes.

The info sessions will be held at the following times and locations-

  • Thursday, Dec. 6: 2 to 3 p.m., East Lake Library, 4125 East Lake Rd.
  • Wednesday, Dec. 12: Noon to 1 p.m., North Pinellas YMCA, 4550 Village Center Dr.
