Ribbon-Cutting for Frank A. Weaner Teen Room at Palm Harbor Library

Palm Harbor Library Press Release

Come celebrate with us! The Palm Harbor Library, located at 2330 Nebraska Avenue, invites the public to a ribbon-cutting celebration of the newly-renamed Frank A. Weaner Teen Room on Thursday, October 9 at 5:00 p.m.

The Frank A. Weaner Scholarship Fund was established to provide annual financial assistance to “well-rounded Palm Harbor area high school seniors.” A decision was made to allocate some of the funds to a permanent entity within the Palm Harbor community that could provide easily accessible educational services for all high school seniors. The Palm Harbor Library was the recipient of the funds which are being used to improve teen services.

In 2013, almost 4,000 teens visited the Teen Room and checked-out over 18,000 items. The monies from the Frank A. Weaner Scholarship Fund are being well used and appreciated.
