Second Palm Harbor Man Wins $1 Million Lotto Prize

Talk about crazy odds! Two men from Palm Harbor won $1 million prizes in July.

A second Palm Harbor resident has won a million dollar lottery prize. For those who are counting, that's two people from Palm Harbor who have won a million bucks in less than a month. Both winners purchased their winning tickets outside of Palm Harbor.

On July 15, the Florida Lottery announced that Palm Harbor resident David Theal, 38, claimed a $1 million top prize in the $1,000,000 MONOPOLY Scratch-Off game. Theal chose the one-time, lump-sum payment for his winnings in the amount of $700,000. He purchased his winning Scratch-Off ticket at Publix, located at 12139 W. Linebaugh Ave. in Tampa.

On July, 7, Palm Harbor resident Thomas Josapak, 60, won a $1 million POWERBALL prize. He purchased his winning ticket at the Winn-Dixie supermarket located at 1630 U.S. 19 in Holiday. Josapak says he wants to use some of his winnings to buy a Corvette, according to the Florida Lottery.
