Smithsonian Exhibition Exploring the American Workforce Coming to the Palm Harbor Museum
A Palm Harbor Museum, Humanities Council and Smithsonian Institution Event

The Palm Harbor Museum will host the Smithsonian’s “The Way We Worked” from November 1, 2014 through December 13, 2014.
The Palm Harbor Museum, 2043 Curlew Road, in cooperation with the Florida Humanities Council and the Smithsonian Institution, will host “The Way We Worked”, a Smithsonian traveling exhibition exploring the professions and the people that sustain American Society.
The Palm Harbor Museum and the surrounding community have been expressly chosen by the Florida Humanities Council to host this traveling exhibition as part of the Smithsonian’s Museum on Main Street project, a national/state/local partnership to bring exhibitions and programs to small-town museums. Palm Harbor is one of only six communities selected in Florida.
“The Way We Worked” exhibition draws from the Smithsonian Archives’ rich collections, including historical photographs, archival accounts of workers, film, audio and interactives, to tell the compelling story of how work impacts our individual lives and the historical and cultural fabric of our communities.
