Stowaway Kittens Ready for Adoption
Palm Harbor Patch is proud to help the Suncoast Animal League find forever homes for these Pets of the Week
This week, we have five fabulous pets who are looking for homes.
1) Cats of the Week:The Captain Jack’s kittens-
Five weeks ago, we embarked on a journey to rescue some land-lovin' little fuzzies who needed our help.... Captain Jack's in Tarpon Springs had some marooned stow-aways on the boat in front of their restaurant.

Back then, they were looking a bit rough because living in the wild didn’t suit them. Today, they’re 9-10 weeks old and after a good bit of vet care and TLC from our volunteers, the four kittens are happy, healthy and ready to find their forever homes. We gave the kittens nautical-themed names!
- CeeJay (formerly known as Capt Jack, until we found out he was a she)
- Skipper
- Popeye
- Murphy

2) Dog of the week: Lucy
“Can I sit by you? Can I? Can I, please? Pleeeasssse?!" says Lucy.
Lucy is a large, 70 pound terrier mix. Yes, you read that correctly... 70, not 7! She's about 10 months-old and is SUCH a sweetie.
Lucy is extremely affectionate and loves to cuddle up next to you when she is not outside running and playing in the yard. She has lots of energy and requires regular exercise.
Lucy also loves children and gets along great with other dogs, but she is definitely a “love hog.” If one of the other dogs is getting attention, she will push her nose right in there, as if to say, “What about me?" She might not be a great match for a home with cats, because, although she probably wouldn't hurt them, she has been known to bark at and chase a few.
Lucy is a great companion. She will walk with you, sit with you, nap with you and... well you get the picture. That’s Lucy – a whole lot of love wrapped up in a big, red-haired dog!
Lucy is currently staying with a foster family. To make an appointment to meet her, please call the Suncoast Animal League office at (727) 786-1330.
