Suncoast Animal League Saves Animals With Dog Wash Fundraiser

This past Saturday I checked out the . This event is a fundraiser for Suncoast Animal League which is "dedicated to the needs of the community as it relates to the protection and welfare of animals", according to their official website. 

The event is usually held on the 4th Saturday of the month in the parking lot behind and is held in Safety Harbor on the 3rd Friday of the month. Suncoast Animal League is a no-kill facility and takes in abandoned, abused, homeless, and unwanted animals. The cost is $7 for small dogs. $8 for medium dogs, and $12 for large dogs.

The event organizer said at the event, "We are pleased with the setting at Fairway Pizza. There is plenty of shade available and a parking lot with plenty of space. The Fairway Pizza staff is incredible and our dog wash is a great opportunity for people to have some lunch, while doing something they have to do anyway". "Participants receive free drink at Fairway Pizza with a bathed dog and can relax and enjoy themselves, while we clean their dogs".

He added, "Our event is especially good for big dogs, which normally cannot be washed at home". "We normally see dogs that have been adopted from our organization again at the Dog Wash as well". 

Suncoast Animal League cleaned and groomed 43 dogs on Saturday, June 23.
