Surveillance Video Identified User of Stolen Debt Card, Say Detectives

Detectives with the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office say surveillance video from a Wal-Mart led them to a Palm Harbor woman accused of using a stolen debit card.
Lydia Lee Resmondo, 23, is charged with fraudulent use of a credit card. Deputies arrested Resmondo on Jan. 25. They say she admitted to using another woman's debit card.
The victim reported her debit card stolen on Dec. 14. Shortly afterward, the card was used at the Wal-Mart located at 3801 Tampa Rd. in Oldsmar. The debit card was successfully used to pay for a $25.59 transaction at the Checker's restaurant inside the Wal-Mart. Two other transactions for $25.59 and $472.72 were declined at the Wal-Mart. The $472.72 transaction was for the purchase of an iPad. This purchase attempt was recorded by the store's surveillance cameras, according to an arrest affidavit.Β
