Tarpon Woods Attack: Detectives Release Sketch of Suspect
Do you recognize this man? Pinellas County Sheriff's detectives have released this composite sketch of a man believed to have attacked a 49-year-old woman in East Lake's Tarpon Woods subdivision.
Detectives with the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office hope a composite sketch will lead them to the man suspected of attacking a woman in the Tarpon Woods subdivision in September.
The Pinellas County Sheriff's Office released the sketch to Patch late Tuesday afternoon. The sketch is based on information provided by a neighbor who stopped to help the woman who was attacked, according to Pinellas County Sheriff's Office spokesperson Cecilia Barreda.
Detectives say the 49-year-old woman was attacked about 8:30 p.m. on Sept. 26. She had been running on Brian Road South and had slowed down to a walk, when a man grabbed her from behind, pulled her to the ground and touched her inappropriately. Something then spooked the attacker, and he ran off (read the story).
