Thanksgiving Travelers Get Price Break at Gas Pump
Reduced demand for gas is keeping prices at bay.

There's good news for those of you who plan on driving to your Thanksgiving destination; gas prices have dropped since last week.
"Thanksgiving travelers will get a bit of a break at the pump this year. Although a gallon of gas costs more than last year, motorists shouldn't see prices spike before Thanksgiving," said Jessica Brady, AAA spokesperson, The Auto Club Group. βThereβs a good chance gas prices will continue to drop into Wednesdayβthe official start to the holiday.β
According to AAA Travel gasoline prices are falling because of lackluster demand levels. Demand for gas is down 3.6 percent from last year.Β

AAA's Fuel Gauge ReportΒ lists theΒ average price for a gallon of unleaded gas in Tampa Bay at $3.28, that's six cents less than last week's average of $3.34.
