Veterans Honored at Curlew Hills Memory Gardens Service

WFLA radio and Vietnam Veteran, Jack Harris was the special guest speaker at Curlew Hills Memory Garden's 24th Annual Veterans' Day Service Friday morning. Harris was serious and lighthearted while telling the crowd about his experience as a veteran, he also poignantly paid tribute to those who served in the military, saying Veteran's Day should be renamed "Heroes Day".

Local religious, political and military leaders also spoke during the ceremony.

The graves of veterans were decorated for the ceremony by local Boy Scouts who had placed flags on the graves the previous weekend.
