What’s Palm Harbor Saying About Obama?

Find out what Palm Harbor Patch readers had to say about the president's connection to the people.

Earlier this week, we asked Patch readers .

Here’s what readers of Palm Harbor Patch had to say:

He has been creating or prolonging most the problems that exist currently. I guess there are a LOT of complete MORONS out there that don't like 5 trillion in new debt and chronic unemployment well above what is being reported. Housing foreclosures still at record levels. Not to mention the actions being taken by his administration to kill jobs, increase energy costs and remove the freedoms that our constitution guarantees us. If you tax the rich you won't put a dent in his spending and eventually our country will be bankrupt just like Greece! Wake up America this president is the most out of touch politician in Washington.

The economic mess we are in is not the fault of any former or current President- the fault lies with the people- you and I, for letting it happen and letting it continue. For instance, it is easy to say that the bail out was a failure. It was started under republican leadership and was continued under democratic leadership. While I do not like the results of the bail out, I have to wonder if we would have been in worse shape had nothing been done and had we gone into a deep depression? Where we are in terms of economy, military, healthcare and a host of other issues is a direct result of those we elect to all offices- the Congress, the Senate, the President etc. Career politicians come in all forms, democrat, republican, independent, tea party etc. Still, we put them there and if we do not require they properly represent us and act in our best interest AND we do not fire them when they fail to properly represent us, it is the fault of the people. It is time for our representatives to make the hard decisions! If they are not willing to step up and tell us specifically what they will do to improve our economy and our country, they are not worth voting for. Finally, don't be so ignorant as to vote straight tickets without even knowing the individuals you are voting for. If people are going to do that, why not avoid campaigns completely and just drawn names from a hat to fill elected positions- no difference!
