Workshop Teaches Money-Saving Energy Tips

The Palm Harbor Library is teaming up with the Pinellas County Extension Office to present a free energy efficiency workshop.

Wanna learn how to save some money on your electricity bills?

The and the Pinellas County Extension Office are offering a free energy efficiency workshop from 11 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Feb 18.

James Stevenson will discuss money-saving, energy-lowering tips for the home. He'll also demonstrate the new "Kill-A-Watt" monitor. This simple tool is available for check out at libraries throughout Pinellas County. It shows the amount of energy that different home electronic devices use, when they are turned off and when they are being used.

All workshop participants will leave with a Kill-A-Watt monitor to use at home. The monitor must be returned at the end of the 14-day loan period.
