Old Lisenby Hospital to become work-life style units (mypanhandle.com) β€” A long-vacant former Lisenby Hospital on West 11th Street in Panama City is being transformed into 30–35 "work-life" townhome-style units where residents can both live and work. Four brothers who inherited the property plan to preserve the building's structure, dramatically update its look, and finish construction by the end of next year to add new housing and business space to the neighborhood.

Panama City woman arrested after pursuit through Cove neighborhood (mypanhandle.com) β€” Panama City police say a Monday morning pursuit through the Cove neighborhood began after a driver allegedly fled a crash at 11th Street and Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard. Leaders say the project will meet growing local demand, create more than 50 skilled jobs, and provide personalized, team-based rehab care that helps patients safely return to daily life in the community.

Sudden lift station collapse causes 200,000-gallon wastewater spill (mypanhandle.com) β€” A sudden structural failure at the Joan Avenue lift station in Panama City Beach spilled about 200,000 gallons of wastewater into local waterways, reaching South Lagoon and causing a strong odor for nearby residents. Utilities crews have contained the overflow and are now working to uncover the damaged sewer main, while city officials prepare to brief the council on repair costs and next steps later this week.
