Running from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., the event aims to link those needing mobility or health support with groups ready to help.

• Rutherford football prepares for district opener against Florida High (wjhg.com) — Rutherford High's football team in Panama City is gearing up for its first district game of the season against unbeaten Florida High from Tallahassee. After a big rushing performance from Jamarion Blount in last week's win over Chipley, the Rams practiced through Labor Day to prepare for Friday's 7 p.m. kickoff at Tommy Oliver Stadium.

• Golf cart collision leaves five people injured in Walton County (mypanhandle.com) — Several Walton County residents were rushed to Ascension Sacred Heart in Panama City after a Saturday evening collision between an SUV and a golf cart on County Road 30A. Five golf cart passengers, ages 53 to 66, suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries, while the SUV's occupants were unharmed as troopers continue investigating the crash circumstances.
