• Escambia County Board of Commissioners Nearly Billion Dollar 2027 Budget Public Hearing Lacked the Public City of Pensacola (opgov.news) — Escambia County commissioners have tentatively approved an $890.9 million 2026–27 budget, keeping the countywide millage near 6.6 and debating where to cut about $1 million without dipping into reserves, decisions that shape taxes and services for Pensacola residents. A final public hearing on September 24 at the Ernie Lee Magaha Government Building will take comments before commissioners lock in the budget and tax rate.
