1. Pensacola's new codes don't add tree protections. Staff says that comes later (pnj.com) — Pensacola's City Council has advanced a major rewrite of the land development code without adding new tree protections, relying instead on a separate tree ordinance now under review. Key dates are set in October and November for public hearings and votes, which will shape how developers handle live oaks, tree removal fees, and neighborhood density across the city.
