DUI Checkpoint Planned in Pinecrest

PINECREST, FL — Miami-Dade police will be stopping cars on Friday night at a DUI checkpoint from 7 p.m. to 3 a.m.

Detective Robin Pinkard of the Miami-Dade Police Department told Patch that officers will focus on the area of U.S. 1 between SW 74 Street and 104 Street.

The checkpoint will be operated by the Miami-Dade Police Department's Special Patrol Bureau under a Florida Department of Transportation grant initiative.
