Lone Bank Bandit Strikes Pinecrest Chase

The bank robber displayed a weapon and later fled in a Cadillac CTS.

PINECREST, FL β€” The FBI is searching for a lone bank bandit who held up the Chase Bank branch in Pinecrest on Tuesday. The robbery took place at 11:37 a.m. The bank is located at 12795 S Dixie Highway.

"The robber entered the bank, displayed a weapon and demanded money from a bank employee," according to Special Agent Michael Leverock and spokesman Jim Marshall of the FBI in Miami. "There were customers in the bank at the time of the robbery; there were no injuries."

The bandit fled in a 2004-09 black Cadillac CTS (see picture below)

The FBI would not say how much money was taken during the robbery but investigators released surveillance images of the robber and his getaway vehicle.
