Miami Therapist Accused of Molesting 13-Year-Old Patient
Miami-Dade Police are asking any potential victims of therapist Pedro Julio Garcia to come forward.

KENDALL, FL β A Miami area therapist has been accused of molesting a 13-year-0ld patient and investigators are asking other potential victims to come forward. Pedro Julio Garcia was charged with one count of Lewd and Lascivious Molestation on a child 12 to 16 years of age and a related offense. The female patient said Garcia tried to kiss her and touch her during a therapy session earlier this week.
"On Wednesday, May 23, 2017, a 13-year old disclosed to investigators that Garcia, a therapist practicing in the Kendall area, had sexually assaulted her during a therapy session," explained Detective Daniel Ferrin of the Miami-Dade Police Department on Thursday. The 67-year-old Garcia of the 5600 block of SW 109 Avenue was also charged with one count of Lewd and Lascivious Conduct on a child less than 16 years of age. The alleged incident occurred at about 5 p.m. at 9010 SW 137 Avenue.

Court documents allege that Garcia had the girl lay down on his sofa and close her eyes while he touched her lips and asked her about a boyfriend. He also is accused of lifting up her shirt and rubbing her stomach.

"The victim got uncomfortable, got up and attempted to walk away," court documents state. "The defendant then grabbed her, hugged her and attempted to kiss her on her mouth. The victim moved her face and the defendant kissed her on her cheek. The victim advised while the defendant attempted to kiss her he was simultaneously rubbing her buttocks over her clothes."
