Motorcycle Rider Thrown From Off Ramp
A motorcycle rider plunged 20 to 30 feet from a highway off ramp after being thrown from his bike.

MIAMI, FL β A motorcycle rider plunged 20 to 30 feet from a highway off ramp on Monday night after being thrown from his bike. First responders said the accident at occurred shortly after 7 p.m. at the motorcycle was attempting to exit highway 874.
"MDFR was dispatched to 107 Avenue (and) SW Killian Drive for a motorcyclist who lost control on the off ramp of 874 going west hitting the guard rail and falling onto the railroad tracks approximately 20-30 feet below," explained Lt. Lay said the rider fell onto railroad tracks, but lived. Officials shut down railroad traffic as first responders assisted the victim.

"Despite the nature of the injury, the adult male was treated and transported to the nearby trauma center," Lay said. "He was awake and talking during his transport."
Lay did not identify the victim.
