Parking Space Argument Ends in Gunfire
Tropical Park was the scene of an argument that escalated into one man shooting another man's wife.

(Story updated at 10:30 a.m. Thursday) KENDALL, FL β An argument over a parking space escalated into one of the men shooting the other man's wife on Wednesday night. The incident occurred at Tropical Park as a married couple was practicing parking maneuvers in a black Mercedes. The woman's husband, identified as 48-year-old Michael Levy, is accused of shooting the wife of another man, who was driving a white Nissan SUV.
"The passenger of the Mercedes Benz (husband) and the driver of the Nissan began to argue over the Mercedes Benz blocking the handicap parking spaces," explained Detective Robin Pinkard of the Miami-Dade Police Department. "The passenger of Mercedes Benz proceeded to exit his vehicle, as the argument continued," she said of Levy. "At some point thereafter, the passenger of Mercedes Benz, who was still standing outside of his vehicle, retrieved a firearm from his belt bag and fired several shots toward the Nissan."

The victim was identified as 52-year-old Cecilia Gonzalez, whose husband, Rudy, was involved in the argument with Levy. The shooting occurred at 8:37 p.m.

Levy's wife was identified as 38-year-old Lina Bahamon.
"The incident resulted with the passenger inside the Nissan shot in the arm," said Pinkard.
Cecilia Gonzalez was taken to Kendall Regional Trauma Center by Miami-Dade Fire Rescue in stable condition .
Tropical Park is located at 7900 SW 40 Street.
