1 Dead Following Trailer Fire In Pinellas Park

One person has died following a trailer fire in Pinellas Park Tuesday.

PINELLAS PARK, FL — One person has died following a trailer fire in Pinellas Park Tuesday.

The Pinellas Park Fire Department was called around 2:30 a.m. to the Sunny Rest Trailer Park 3920 78th Ave. N.

The fire broke out in a fifth-wheel trailer. Officials said the fire spread to two neighboring mobile homes and melted some siding.

The Pinellas Park Police Department assisted in the evacuation of nearby residents.

The Pinellas Park Fire Department along with the St. Petersburg Fire Rescue and Lealman Fire District were able to extinguish the fire. The units to the north and south of the trailer park received minor damage. One person died and three residents were displaced and are receiving assistance from the American Red Cross.

The state fire marshal is investigating the cause of the fire.
