1 Killed, 1 Injured In I-275 Suspected DUI Crash
The accused drunk driver, allegedly responsible for the Halloween morning wreck, suffered minor injuries and was arrested, officials said.

PINELLAS COUNTY, FL – A 45-year-old St. Petersburg man was arrested Tuesday in connection with a suspected driving-under-the-influence crash on Interstate 275 that left one woman dead and another injured, officials said.
Florida Highway Patrol troopers responded at 3:37 a.m. to the scene on I-275, south of 38th Avenue North, where two vehicles collided, and one individual, Kasey T. Gibson, 27 of St. Petersburg, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Troopers said Malo Derone Blackshear, 45, was driving south at a high rate of speed when his sedan overtook and slammed into the rear of a 2001 Hyundai, driven by a 23-year-old woman from St. Petersburg, causing both cars to rotate and land on the inside and outside freeway shoulders.

The female driver was transported with injuries to Bayfront Health in St. Petersburg, while her passenger Gibson, passed away at the scene, officials said.
Blackshear suffered minor injuries and was arrested for suspicion of DUI manslaughter, the department said. He was booked at Pinellas County Jail.
