$10 Million Marriott Approved for Madeira Beach

The Madeira Beach City Commission has approved the Courtyard Marriott, a new hotel to be built on the water.

If you're looking for somewhere fancy to stay in Madeira Beach, you'll have another option coming your way in the next couple of years.

The Madeira Beach City Commission approved the Courtyard Marriott, a $10 million hotel to be built on the Madeira Beach waterfront, according to Tampa Bay Business Journal.

The hotel is scheduled to be built on a 1.5 acre area by on American Legion Drive, according to Tampa Bay Newspapers.

The hotel will be the first new hotel to be built in Madeira Beach in over ten years.

In addition to having 90 rooms, the hotel is planned to have four large boat slips for local boaters and water taxis.

The hotel is expected to open in the 2013 or 2014 tourism season.
