29-Year-Old Clearwater Man Killed When SUV Overturns In Pond
A 29-year-old Clearwater man has died after losing control of a sports utility vehicle on the entrance ramp of 118th Avenue North.

PINELLAS PARK, FL — A 29-year-old Clearwater man has died after losing control of a sports utility vehicle on the entrance ramp of 118th Avenue North approaching Interstate 275 and overturning in a retention pond.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the SUV was traveling south on the entrance ramp when it failed to negotiate a curve. It hit a median barrier and overturned in a retention pond. Both the driver and the passenger were ejected.
The driver was taken to an area hospital where he died. The 28-year-old woman passenger from St. Petersburg was uninjured.
