52-Year-Old Man Killed While Crossing Gulf Boulevard

A pedestrian died after he was struck by a van Sunday in Treasure Island.

TREASURE ISLAND, FL — A 52-year-old pedestrian was killed when he was struck by a van Sunday in Treasure Island.

According to the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office, at 9:50 p.m., Christopher Grazer, 52, was traveling south on Gulf Boulevard. Daniel Wells was crossing the road in front of 10182 Gulf Blvd. outside the crosswalk when Grazer struck him with the front passenger side of his 2006 Dodge Caravan.

Wells was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Investigators said Grazer remained on the scene and cooperated with the investigation. Speed and impairment do not appear to be factors in the accident.
