71-Year-Old Man Killed Crossing Park Boulevard In Pinellas Park

Investigators said the pedestrian stepped off the sidewalk into the path of the car, and the driver was unable to avoid hitting him.

PINELLAS PARK, FL — A 71-year-old man has died after being struck by a car in the 6500 block of Park Boulevard in Pinellas Park Sunday.

According to Pinellas Park Police, at 6:15 p.m., Donna Fowler, 73, of St. Petersburg was driving east on Park Boulevard in a 2018 Subaru Impreza when she struck the pedestrian.

He was taken to the hospital with severe injuries and later pronounced dead.

Investigators said the pedestrian stepped off the sidewalk into the path of Fowler's car and she was unable to avoid hitting him.

His identity is pending notification of next of kin. There are no criminal charges pending.
