TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® Florida franchise locations donate more than $225,000 in charitable moves in 2011
Long known as the “Movers Who Care®,” TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® franchise locations across Florida donated more than 2,115 hours, or $225,000, in charitable moves in 2011, assisting non-profit organizations and families in need throughout the state. Locally, TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® Tampa-area franchises combined to provide 555.5 hours in donated moves, valued at an estimated $64,000.
“TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® was founded on the principles of integrity, compassion, giving back to the community and treating everyone the way you would want your Grandma to be treated,” said Brig Sorber, company CEO and President. “Our franchisees go through rigorous training in which these principles are a central focus. I’m proud of the Tampa-area franchises’ commitment to the community in 2011 and expect that it will continue in the New Year.”
In the Tampa area, TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® donated moving services to support a variety of local organizations and charitable endeavors, including Christ the King Church’s “Tampa Home Makers” outreach program,Starting Right Now, Gulfside Regional Hospice, Friends of East Lake Firefighters and Suncoast Animal League. Additionally, the franchise hosted its annual Movers for Moms® efforts, working with community partners such as Canterbury School of Florida, Tampa Day School, Tutor Time, and Old Navy to collect more than 2,000 essential items for victims of domestic violence or homelessness on Mother’s Day.
