Beach Escapes: Change of Scenery

Where is it:

Along Gulf Boulevard, just north of the Smuggler's Cove mini golf in Indian Rocks.

How to get there:

Just drive north on Gulf Boulevard until you pass Smuggler's Cove. Keep your eyes on the right for the entrance.

What to do there:

What may look like just a parking lot is actually a lot more. This is a great spot to relax and watch the sunset in an area that doesn't feel like the beach. If you start yearning for sand between your toes, you can always park and head to the water right across Gulf Boulevard. 

Why is this important:

The area feels more akin to parks more inland in Florida. With lots of marshy areas and overhanging trees, it's easy to completely lose yourself and forget that you're just minutes away from the ocean.
