Beach Escapes: Hidden Waterways

This tucked away park makes for a great boat access point.

Going north on Gulf Boulevard, take a right on to Fourth Avenue. From there, just take a right on Second Street and follow it until it ends and park. There are only two parking spots available so, it might be easier to grab street parking.

Because it’s right on the intercoastal waterway, it’s easy to launch canoes and paddleboards into the water for a day of fun. It’s also a great area to step out on to one of the docks and watch the clouds go by.

Why is this important:

It’s a hidden gem of Indian Rocks Beach. The small park is placed right by many of the government buildings and could easily be overlooked. It’s almost a given that you won’t have a lot of people with you at the park and can enjoy some quiet time.
