Learn more about the landmarks that make the beaches special.

Right at the entrance of John's Pass is the sign welcoming all visitors to the area. Right beneath the lettering of John's Pass is a small scupture of a fish.

The fish is prominent on the sign as fishing is one of the main reasons John's Pass is the congregational and recreational area it is today.

Wilson Hubbard opened the in 1979 and petitioned the city to allow a public waterfront boardwalk to be built. Once the boardwalk was built, shops and other businesses came to John's Pass making it the way it is today.
