Bicyclist Killed In Pinellas Park
A 59-year-old St. Petersburg man died after being struck by a drunk driver while riding his a bike on 118th Avenue North.

PINELLAS PARK, FL — A 59-year-old St. Petersburg man has died after being struck by a drunk driver while riding a bike on 118th Avenue North in Pinellas Park Friday night, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
Just after 10 p.m., the bicyclist and driver of the car were both heading east on 118th Avenue North when the bicyclist veered into the path of the car, said troopers. The 28-year-old driver from St. Petersburg was charged with driving under the influence.
Note: The Florida Highway Patrol will no longer release the names of those involved in accidents due to Marsy's Law, a law intended to protect the identities of crime victims, approved by 61 percent of Florida voters on Nov. 6, 2018.
