Expansion of Service Area with Freebee

Effective Monday, July 20th, 2020, Freebee's service area will expand to include the residential neighborhoods of Belle Vista, Lido Beach, and Boca Ciega Isle. The service hours will remain 6:00am-Midnight, 7 days a week.


St. Pete Beach Public Library

The library is open at its temporary location at 7470 Gulf Blvd. (next to P.J.’s Oyster Bar).

New library hours are Monday-Friday10am-5pm.The library will not be open in the evenings or Saturday or Sunday until further notice.

The book drop is located outside the library 24/7 for patrons to return materials. Curbside pickup service is available if desired; please call the library at (727) 363-9238 to request items. Note: we are not taking donations at this location. Please visit the library webpage (spblibrary.com) for more information about the library or to browse the catalog. Remember you can use Overdrive, Libby, Hoopla and Kanopy to read books, listen to books and music, and watch movies and documentaries, all with your library card.


July 21st, 2020- Construction on Gulf Blvd & 35th Ave

The Don Cesar, one of our city's landmarks and treasures, has been undergoing renovations and will need to partially close Gulf Blvd. on Tuesday, July 21st, 2020. The detour will reroute southbound traffic and westbound traffic at 35th Ave. heading towards Pass-a-Grille through Casablanca and Maritana. The work should last about 6 to 8 hours. There is no expected impact to traffic traveling northbound on Gulf from Pass-a-Grille.

CITY HALL - OPEN BY APPOINTMENT ONLY-

In an effort to continue to mitigate the spread of COVID-19, the City of St. Pete Beach City Hall is open by appointment only.

While the City is taking measures to ensure public and staff safety, we ask that phone calls and electronic tools be utilized.

If you cannot transact your business by phone or online, you may request an in-person meeting.

COMMUNITY CENTER - CLOSED TO THE PUBLIC

All gym reservations, morning and evening classes and pickleball programs are cancelled until further notice.

Please note

We will continue to operate our summer camp program as scheduled as well as facility rentals that follow CDC guidelines.

Aquatic classes and programs will remain open and class schedule remains the same.

The front lobby will be open M-F 7:00am - 6:00pm for summer camp parents to make payments if needed.

City Projects- We are Working for You

Tennis Court Improvements
Egan Parks courts were completed in June and are open for use.
Lazarillo Tennis Courts will be completed by next week and ready to play on by the end of the week (weather permitting).
Vina Del Mar’s tennis courts will be resurfaced in the upcoming weeks.

Public Restroom renovations at Hurley Park and Upham Beach

Temporary restroom facilities have been provided at each location. The work is anticipated to take 4 weeks, at which point they will move down to Paradise Grill in Pass-a-Grille to renovate those facilities.

Hurley Park Upgrades
The 1st phase of field grading is complete. Next week tree trimming will begin and lighting installation followed by fence installation, irrigation and then final grading and park sodding.
