Halloween is Saturday night but did you know it is also the weekend to turn your clocks back 1 hour. While your phones and computers will automatically "fall back" one hour, you'll still have to check your ovens, microwaves, and most importantly, your smoke detectors. The two times a year we change our clocks also serve as a valuable reminder to change the batteries in our smoke alarms. Also keep an eye out for the date of manufacture stamped on the device. Smoke detectors lose their effectiveness after 10 years and require replacing.
If you need assistance in testing or replacing your smoke alarms or batteries, please contact St. Pete Beach Fire Rescue at 727-363-9207.

The Construction for The Sunrunner (BRT) has begun.
Construction on the new SunRunner line is beginning in St. Pete Beach. The project only involves a few locations in the city and should have minimal impact on businesses, residents and visitors. However, since there will be some inconvenience for short periods of time for traffic and pedestrians, PSTA launched a construction information and engagement page for the community. Visitors will be able to see the construction timelines and the latest details about the project as well as individual station construction.
