Clearwater Man Charged In Stabbing Death Of Madeira Beach Man

MADEIRA BEACH, FL — Pinellas County Sheriff's detectives have made an arrest in the stabbing death of a man in Madeira Beach on Jan. 10.

Deputies responded to a call about an armed person at 2:57 a.m. Friday, Jan. 10. When deputies arrived, they found the caller, 28-year-old Justin That of Brigadoon Drive in Clearwater, who told deputies he had stabbed 48-year-old John Forest.

Deputies found Forest dead in his home at 14054 Miramar Avenue, Unit 1. That told detectives he met Forest at a local bar earlier that night. He said they returned to Forest's home to smoke marijuana and got into an argument that turned physical. That said he grabbed a knife belonging to Forest and stabbed him 10 times in the face and neck.

Afterward, That fled, threw away the knife and called 911.

On Friday, That was charged with one count of second-degree murder.
