Clearwater Motorcyclist Killed In Pinellas Park Crash

PINELLAS PARK, FL -- A 22-year-old Clearwater man has died following a motorcycle accident on U.S. 19 in Pinellas Park Sunday.

According to Pinellas Park Police, at about 4 a.m. May 12, Christopher Matthew Babcock of Sunny Park Road, Clearwater, was traveling at a high rate of speed in the 12300 block of U.S. 19 North when he lost control and crashed. He was ejected from the motorcycle.

A passing motorist stopped and attempted to flag down traffic, however, the driver of a Mustang struck Babcock, who was pronounced dead at the scene.
