Criminal Justice Student Supports Sheriff in St. Pete Beach

Whether to keep St. Pete Beach Police or bring in the Pinellas County Sheriff as a replacement is one of the hot issues on the ballot today in St. Pete Beach.

Ross Carnovale, a criminal justice student, believes that the move to the Sheriff's Office would be work out the best for everyone involved.

"I'm a little hesitant to lose St. Pete Beach Police, but then again, I think the sheriff in the long run will be the future for us," Carnovale said.

Carnovale also shared his viewpoints on the presidential election and how Florida will be playing a key role.

"We have a lot of left and a lot of right in the state of Florida," Carnovale said.
