Double Murder Trial Heats Up

The double murder trail of Patrick A. Evans, a former corporate executive, heats up as prosecutors ask witnesses to identify Evans' voice in a 911 call.

On Dec. 21, 2008, Evans was arrested and charged with two counts of first–degree murder of his estranged wife, Elizabeth K. Evans, 44, and her friend, Jerry B. Taylor, 43.

Evans, a 44-year-old former vice president of Jabil Circuit Web, and his wife were going through a divorce, reports the St. Petersburg Times.

She moved out of their shared mansion, at 333 Hermosita Dr., in St. Pete Beach, to Sun Ketch condominiums, 6080 Gulfport Blvd. S, in Gulfport, where she lived with her daughter, Molly Rhoades, now a 20-year old university student, reports the St. Petersburg Times.

Evans' trial began Nov. 1, reports the Tampa Tribune.

Rhoades testified Thursday on the 911 recording. She was asked by prosecutors to identify the voice in the recording.
