PINELLAS PARK, FL — Pinellas Park police are investigating a fatal crash that occurred when a Toyota Corolla traveling at a high speed failed to negotiate a curve on Grand Avenue.

The single-car crash occurred at 3:15 p.m. Wednesday.

Police said the collision sent the car into a large tree. The driver, the only occupant of the car, was taken to the hospital and pronounced dead.
