ST. PETE BEACH, FL — An off-duty police officer visiting St. Pete Beach from Chicago faces charges after urinating in an ice machine at Jimmy’s Beach Bar and arguing with staff early Monday morning, according to multiple reports.

Deputies responded to the bar, which is located at the Beachcomber hotel, around 12:30 a.m., after an employee found him urinating on the ice in the machine, according to the arrest report.

When the staff member told Capouch to stop, he “began verbally cussing the victim and pushed him ‘a couple times’ with both his hands,” deputies wrote in the report. He also pushed a security guard at the bar.

After deputies arrived, the employees showed them where Capouch and his girlfriend were on the beach. He actively resisted the deputies and initially didn’t obey their commands while he was detained, the arrest report said. “(He) continued to yell and kept standing when told to sit multiple times.”

Deputies noted on the report that he appeared to be under the influence of alcohol.
