This is a one day class for safe boating taught by USCoast Guard Auxiliary instructors. If you own a boat, want to buy a boat or are just a passenger aboard a vessel, you need this course. Anyone born on or after Jan.1,1988 MUST have a boating certificate and ID to operate a vessel with 10HP or more. This course teaches knots, proper line handling, mooring your vessel, proper fueling, navigation, what to do in an emergency, channel markers, required equipment for your vessel, distress calls, using a radio,and much more. A must for all boaters out on the water! Know your rules, know your area and get educated with this important class.
