Young Anglers Inshore Fishing Tournament

Anglers up to age 15 are invited to participate in this 16th-annual inshore fishing tournament, which benefits Madeira Beach Fundamental School, the John's Pass Village Association and Secrets of the Sea Marine Exploration Center and Aquarium.

All registered anglers receive a tournament T-shirt, bait bucket with shrimp, a goody bag, prize ticket and lunch of a hot dogs, chips and a soda. Walk-up registrations will be accepted the day of the tournament and will be given goody bags if still available, organizers say.

Fishing time is from 7am to 2pm, with weigh-in from 12pm to 2pm on Hub’s Deck behind the Friendly Fisherman Restaurant. 

Winners will be selected in several categories in three age groups: Ages 5 and Younger, Ages 6 to 20, and Ages 11 to 15). All winners receive a rod-and-reel combo, a trophy and other prizes. 

All youths must be accompanied by an adult. See the link below for other rules and regulations.
