Five Great Classes for Grown-ups
Just because you don't have to go to school doesn't mean you should stop learning.

Going to a class doesn’t have to be in a classroom. On the beaches, there are numerous non-traditional classes on a whole range of subjects. Here are five great classes to keep your brain and body working this summer.
1. Scuba Diving: Learn about the basics of scuba diving in a controlled environment. Best of all, once you complete the course, you’ll be certified to go out and scuba dive whenever you please. Call (727) 393-3483 for more information and class schedules.
2. Whether you’re a amateur ornithologist or a professional bird seeker, this class will be a great refresher on the types of birds in the area. All you need to check this out is a pair of binoculars and hat. The class takes place on June 4 at 2 p.m.

3. : No reason to be embarrassed if you’re not as computer savvy as you’d like to be. Head on down to the St. Pete Beach Library and grab some help on the computer basics there. There's no specific schedule so call the library at (727) 363-9228 for more information.
4. Book Group: While it’s not a class in the strictest sense, this is worth checking out for input you’ll get from your fellow readers. The discussions that are had after the book is read will open your mind to multiple ways that the books could be interpreted. Make sure to check at the library to see what the next book being read is.

5. : If you have a significant other and want to do something together, the Cha-Cha is perfect for you both. Once you both have learned the basic steps of the dance, you’ll both be able to show off the next time that you hear any music with a three-step rhythm. The class is $10 per lesson and happens every Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. at the Indian Shores Town Hall.
