Five Things We Learned on Patch this Week
See what you may have missed this week on Patch.

: Call it Occupy Best Buy. Three familie are so determined to be first in line on Black Friday at the Tyrone Mall that they have pitched a tent and are living next to the parking lot. How early do you get ready for Black Friday? There's usually a great deal happening that may be worth waiting in line for early in the morning. Would any deal be worth waiting two weeks for?
: Sun, surf and pie. The pickings are slim on the Pinellas Beaches for those looking to enjoy a delightful slice of pie. With that said, is it possible to find a whole pie for a family gathering or holiday party? After a lot of research, we discovered some of the best places on the sand to enjoy deliciously fresh pie, whether you're on the go or enjoying a relaxing night out.
: With the wealth of entertainment opportunities on the beaches, it's easy to go up and down Gulf Boulevard multiple times in a week. One day, it's dinner in Pass-A-Grille, and another you may want to grab a coffee in Indian Shores. Even if you live in the middle of the Pinellas Beaches, all that driving is bound to eat up a fair share of gas.

: The St. Pete Beach City Commission decided in a 3-2 vote last Tuesday to allow the Swigwam Beach Bar to keep its outdoor seating, according to an article from Tampabay.com. Some Corey Avenue business owners had complained about certain aspects of the bar and we're asking the city to take back the permission to sell alcohol on the sidewalk that it had given the Swigwam a year ago.
: Pop the cork. Crack open a cold one. The beach behind Caddy's once again is under control of the bar owner – and no one is going to dispute that. The Treasure Island City Commission dropped the issue at the recommendation of attorneys.
