TREASURE ISLAND, FL — Treasure Island restaurants and shops are back in business after being evacuated Thursday due to a natural gas leak.

Treasure Island Fire Rescue crews, along with crews from the Maderia Beach Fire Department, St. Pete Beach Fire Rescue and Seminole Fire Rescue responded to 1601 107th Ave. in Treasure Island Thursday after a 3-inch natural gas main began leaking.

Firefighters evacuated two buildings while People's Gas capped the leak.
