Madeira Beach Firefighters Battle 3-Alarm Apartment Blaze

The Madeira Beach and six surrounding fire departments are on the scene of an apartment building fire at 13436 Boca Ciega Ave.

MADEIRA BEACH, FL -- The Madeira Beach and six surrounding fire departments are on the scene of a three-alarm fire at a two-story apartment complex at 13436 Boca Ciega Ave. The city reported the fire around 10 a.m. on Tuesday and firefighters were on the scene within five minutes.

According to witness reports, at one point firefighters were pulled from the burning building due to dangerous conditions. Three people were treated for burns but are expected to recover.

For two hours, firefighters struggled to prevent the fire from spreading to other structures. Officials say the fire is now under control.
