Madeira Beach Marina Fire Damages Four Boats

The Pinellas County Sheriff's Office is investigating a suspicious fire that left four boats and the dock damaged in the Madeira Beach Marina.

The Pinellas County Sheriff's Arson detectives are investigating a fire that occured at the Madeira Beach Marina yesterday morning.

One boat was destroyed, while three others were damaged in the blaze, according the Sherrif's Office.

The first boat that caught on fire burned completely to the water line.

Of three other boats that caught fire, only one was occupied. The man on the boat was able to get out before the boat was damaged by the flames.

The damage done to the boats by the fire is estimated to be over $500,000. The dock, which also got burned, has an estimated damage cost of $35,000.

Witnesses report seeing a white truck leaving the scene right after the fire started.

The investigation continues and the boat that originated the fire is planned to be dragged out later today.
