A St. Petersburg man has been arrested after claiming he was injured when an "O" blew off a Hooters sign during Hurricane Irma.

ST. PETERSBURG, FL – A St. Petersburg man has been arrested for insurance fraud after claiming he was injured when an “O” blew off a Hooters sign during Hurricane Irma and struck him on the foot.
John Bradley Kane, 55, was charged Friday, April 13, after the manager of the Hooters restaurant at 192 Johns Pass Boardwalk West in Madeira Beach produced a video showing the letter falling off the wall onto the sidewalk without hitting anyone.
The video shows the "O" sat on the sidewalk until Kane came along and picked it up. He then tried to exchange the “O” for food and drinks inside the restaurant.
