Moped Operator Critically Injured When Loses Control In Pinellas Park
A moped operator suffered critical injuries when he lost control of the moped at 70th Avenue and 44th Street North in Pinellas Park.

PINELLAS PARK, FL — A moped operator suffered critical injuries when he lost control of the moped at 70th Avenue and 44th Street North in Pinellas Park.
Pinellas Park police said the crash occurred Friday at 2:35 p.m. James Woods, 81, of Pinellas Park was traveling east on 70th Avenue, approaching 44th Street North. At the same time, a Pinellas Suncoast Transit Authority bus was stopped at a bus stop.
Police said Woods was unable to slow down in time, causing his motor scooter to fall over and slide along the road. He was taken to the hospital where he remains in critical condition.
